World-beating exam success for ADM Milling’s John Gullem
The flour milling industry plays a vital role in feeding and nourishing the nation. The industry itself is a highly skilled and challenging one, with training and education being crucial for employee development. Each year UK Flour Millers – the trade association for the UK flour milling industry, runs seven modular courses to provide millers with an essential understanding and underpinning knowledge of the milling industry. The courses are studied by hundreds of students around the world.
In May 2021 John Gullem, a multi skilled site operator from ADM Milling’s Tilbury location completed his module 2 paper (the modules cover every aspect of flour milling: from wheat to flour; from milling to management.) In July the results came in and John not only passed his exams but he achieved the highest marks of anybody sitting the exams around the world, read all about John’s story here.
