UK Milling’s Energy Management System has been certified to ISO 50001

Following many months of work, UK Milling’s Energy Management System has been certified to ISO 50001. The specification was created by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) for an energy management system which specifies the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining and improving an energy management system, whose purpose is to enable an organization to follow a systematic approach in achieving continual improvement of energy performance, including energy efficiency, energy security, energy use and consumption. The standard aims to help organizations continually reduce their energy use, and therefore their energy costs and their greenhouse gas emissions. The scope of the certification in ADM Milling covers all operational & distribution functions at all sites and head office with audits being carried out at Avonmouth, Edinburgh and Knottingley as evidence of compliance.
