ADHB Milling Wheat Conference

Three UK Milling colleagues recently joined hordes of farmers, merchants, agronomists and researchers at the Agricultural and Horticultural Development Board’s Milling Wheat Conference in Bedfordshire, England. The annual event is co-sponsored by the National Association of British and Irish Millers.

Simon Penson, technical director, UK Milling, was a featured panelist at the event. His remarks focused on the importance of food safety in milling — spanning the entire “field-to-flour” supply chain — and his presentation sparked a number of follow-up questions from the audience. Joining Penson at the conference from the UK Milling team were Anna Perz, wheat and gristing manager, and Mark Ringrose, trading manager.
